Well today we went to where Polly used to live and walked past the pub he met Kerry in. The town is called Sandwich and it is where they say the sandwiches we eat first came from. We even had a sandwich in Sandwich for lunch!
It is a very pretty town that used to be in the Coast but is now inland. Just outside it we visited the old Roman port called Richborough - it is where they first came to shore and settled and was very important for the Roman Empire. You can see me in the ruins in the photo. the wall behind me was so tall and thick and made of Flint and mortar. It was weird to think how long it had been there. I can't imagine anything built that well in Australia.
We also drove a little further north to see a Viking Long boat which was sailed from Denmark to Kent in 1949 on the anniversary of the Viking invasion in 449AD.
We had dinner at the Royal Hotel with Tracey and Mick which is right on the water. Tracey raced Darcy and I across the road to play the penny machine, but we only had a few minutes as it was closing. Then home to pack ready to head back to David and Mary's for one last night.
