Friday 13th June

We had a very comfortable nights sleep in the Spaceship....defiantly recommended. Then it was a quick shower and dressed before driving to the wharf for our Milford Cruise, although we weren't going anywhere with a Kea in the car, the mountainous parrot was clearly wanting to have a nose at our stuff, and Mark had to shoo him out of the van before he found something he liked....

We then made the short drive to the wharf and boarded the jucy cruise boat. The cruise around the sound was 90 minutes and breathtaking....no sooner then we 'set sail' we had already seen a stunning waterfall and bottle nose dolphins swimming in front of the boat. The weather was perfect which was lucky as it rains 180 days a year in Milford!

The scenery got better and better and I seemed to know everything before the commentator...(I was getting ahead of myself and reading the leaflet). As we came back from the opening of the sound into the Tasman sea the boat got up close and personal with another waterfall which was really cool although not cool enough for me to stand at the front of the boat and risk getting soaked like some idiots....and for once I don't mean Mark! Haha. The waterfall appeared in Wolverine. The opening scene where he jumps down a waterfall nude.

We got back to the car and decided to take a slow drive back to Te Anau as we didn't see a lot on the drive the night before. We stopped off at Cascade Chasm and Mirror Lakes plus some other places to take some pics, the scenery was so different from last night not nearly as intimidating.

After a stop at subway we continued the drive to Gore for a quick snap and then onto Dunedin where we met up with the girls had some dinner at Robbie's...which was not recommended and spent night two in the van.
