The Shuttle bus dropped us off at our hotel. The little streets give this town a really nice feel to it. There are gorgeous boutiques and little shops full of clothes or jewellery, ornaments and paintings. They all have a touch of Balinese culture, gorgeous fabrics and patterns around the wooden pagoda on the restaurants with lovely settings! I already like it here! There are some really pretty looking cafés and bistros. Time would fly here, you could just sit and drink wine or eat loads of different types of gelato ice cream. Our hotel had the same sort of touch aswell, we walked around the lovely markets and visited the temples, just admired the architecture and designs on the buildings. It's sort of Aztec and funky.
We booked a trip to do mount Batur in the morning, only it's a 1.30am wake up call because we are doing a sunrise tour! Then we decided we wanted to do the sunset tour aswell which was only £7 each so we booked that.
I really want to see some Balinese dancing so... They were selling tickets at the temples there in Ubud for this evening so we bought two tickets. I'm excited!
There is a great atmosphere here, it's very chilled and has some great culture. We went to watch the dancing tonight, it was really good! They stare with their eyes wide open and have their fingers bent, a little like the king and I with the funny dancing. We both really enjoyed it! I put some videos and photos up to try and get the just of it.
We went for food afterwards and were in bed by 9.30pm, not really early enough for the early morning wake up call but I there was no way we would have slept before that time.
