Days 388-394, 5-11 July '15, Back Home... in Spain. We had a massive Travel Day last Sunday - left Enniscorthy on the 10 am coach, made it to Dublin around 12.30 pm (freezing by this point in our lovely summer clothes), made it into the Aer Lingus lounge about 1 pm and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly for 3 solid hours - eats, drinks and a hot shower, just because we could. Flight to Spain went off without a hitch, not least because we'd checked in so early and chatted our way into a lovely exit row - almost wasted on a 3 hour flight... but still, lovely. It's our third time in Spain housesitting our 4 cats and to no-one's surprise there was a 5th waiting for us when we opened up the house (see Smudge, pictured above). We think this friendly little Blue Point Siamese is being missed by a family somewhere. Apparently she jumped out of someone's boot a couple of days before we arrived and just made herself at home. What else? Usual Fuengirola activities - Tuesday market with stunning fruit and veges - €2 for a 2 kg box of cherries, Saturday flea market with trinkets galore. We've tootled out for a couple of meals with our friends in Spain (can't actually say Spanish friends... as they're all English). Been back to our old haunts and walked along the promenade. Shaping up to be a very warm (if not record breaking summer) - over 40 degrees and humid several days this week. The coast is wallowing under the weight of early season tourists - many of whom have re-booked their package deals to Spain (rather than Tunisia). We have a fair (feria) coming up this week which will be huge fun and a good excuse to head downtown after dark. Also have tickets lined up for Bon Giovi... That's right Giovi not Jovi... a tribute band playing up the hill in a couple of weeks. There are some seriously big names visiting the coast for the Marbella Starlite festival... but they have seriously big pricetags too - Bocelli, Inglesias (both Julio and Enrique), Lionel Richie. So sticking with the close-by tribute events quite happily. Struggling to type as Smudge is "helping" by laying on the keyboard over my hands. Actually reminds me of learning to type a million years ago with a cover over the keyboard to stop one looking. Don't imagine anyone has ever used a kitten for it though!
