Arrived in Bangkok yesterday after a painful 9 hour bus journey! 2 hours were spent at the Thai border which was stupidly slow. That night was our last meal with the rest of the group, and most of us went out and got tipsy. Bangkok is a wild night out. Loads of people kept asking me to see a ping pong show. Not sure what they meant! Ha! We have a few days here in Bangkok before heading to Ko Pha-ngan. We intended to spend about a month travelling around the islands but when you enter Thailand by land you only get a 15 day visa, which cocked things up for us! We have tried to get an extension but the only way is to go out of the country and fly back in to get a 30 day visa. Such a pain!! Anyway, the plan is to go to Ko Pha-ngan then to Ko Samui. We then fly to Kuala Lumpur, were we spent a few nights and then fly back to Krabi, to which we will get a 30 day visa. From Krabi we go to Phi Phi and spend my birthday there, then on to Phuket. We then have a flight booked to Singapore.
We hope to go to the bridge over the river Kwai tomorrow for out last day in Bangkok. I also had my haircut today which was strange. They had tin foil as their wallpaper.
Anyway we are going to watch a ping pong show now. Only Joking :)

Nat It all sounds amazing!! Have you not been to Borneo? I thought you were going there for your birthday? What does your hair look like? Do u look like a complete moose?? Hehe. I had a nerve taken out if my tooth today. The dentist was quite rude actually. Think I might have to locate a new one after all this treatment is finished!! Are u missing home at all? Feeling any better? Xx
Anne Think you're wise to steer clear of the Ping Pong show!! Thankfully you sound to be much better Tom Will be lovely to visit the islands and really envy you going to Singapore - that's on my 'bucket list'. Pam and I really looking forward to Abu Dhabi now but wish Liz was coming too. Enjoy Bangkok and especially River Kwai, - very emotional, will you be visiting Kanchanaburi as well? x
