Well Sandakan isnt much better than Kota Kinabalu. Everyone stares at you and there seems to be a high gay population here. Ive twice been winked at and called sexy boy! The hotel is ok, its a bit out of the city centre but the room is big and the TV channels are good. The hotel stinks! Its a best western so it should be good but its not. Oh well it was cheap. KK is not that good. Old run down buildings fill the skyline except for the odd palm tree. We LOVE KL!!! We arrived at the hotel which is huge and it confused us as you had to check in on the 9th floor due to the shopping mall below the hotel.
