Anne Wondered where you had got to!! Been checking the blog every day.18 degrees - freezing! Make the most of it. Getting colder here and our village has been marooned twice in a week. Enjoy Hong Kong, we weren't there long enough but I really enjoyed it and would like to go back. Looking forward to seeing your mum and Pam soon for our Liverpool weekend. Also looking forward to seeing you both at New Year and hearing all about your travels. Take care. xx

Anne Don't think I will be visiting the Phillipines. Glad you are heading for more civilised Hong Kong - I really enjoyed it but was only there three days so not long enough. Everything here is getting very Christmassy with lights and the stores playing Christmas carols. So far all I have done is buy a Christmas pudding!! Need to get my act together. Looking forward to going to Liverpool 1st and 2nd December with Liz and Pam. We all had a good day at the Spa last Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you both on New Year's Eve.

re: Hong Kong & HomeAnne All sounds to have been a great experience and really looking forward to hearing more over New Year and also maybe seeing some of your photos. It has been fantastic reading the blogs and I shall miss them. We (Pam, your mum and I) had a lovely weekend in Liverpool though apart from the shops and the dock area we didn't see much as we were only there for a short visit. Had a meal in the Italian Restaurant you went to after your degree ceremony. It was nice to spend time together and we had a good laugh. There seemed to be a nice buzz about the city and I can understand why you both enjoyed your time there. Have a safe journey home. Love to you both. xx

re: Thriller in ManilaJudd Just be careful in Jakarta! It sounds fascinating and a place I always wanted to visit but we were advised against it when in Bali. Been to G&G today and they have got ur postcard from Ko Samui. They were impressed. Aunutie May has got one as well and think most of Barnsley know about it. It put their footie team off as Town won 1 v 0! Dont forget the cards from Tiger/Batavia. Have a brill time. Missing you both xxx
re: JakartaLiz Hi good to hear from you, please be careful and I don't think you should use the subway! Well we are well and truely back from holiday its cold and rainy! Back to work tomorrow - not a nice thought! Everywhere is getting christmas things in now so willl be starting to think about christmas shopping. Nat is coming for tea but not having a sunday roast - its home made fish pie. Really can't wait for you both to come back as longing to hear all about your trip in more detail and see your photos. Take care. Love to you both x x
re: JakartaJudd Yup the Arabian Adventure is over and we are back home! Enjoyed Oman, but seen it and done it. The hotel was good, supposed 5* and will be when its finished (!!!) but was so remote. Shame we werent in Muscat, but were about one hour out. Borneo sounds awesome. The shangri-la is still on the list at KK though! Do be careful in Jakarta though.......shame you didnt have time to get down to Bali. Never heard of Santa ?? in PHL, so need to look that one up. Keep the blogs coming. We love 'em. Well need to go and look for another holiday. Missing you both xxxxx
re: Sandakan & SepilokAnne Looking forward to seeing your photos but also getting a good idea of where we do and don't want to go. Also you sound to have encountered quite a lot of rain on your trip. Did the Orangutan give Rikki her Poncho back? Rainforest Discovery Centre sounds exciting!! We can see woodpeckers in our garden. Looking foward to hearing from Jakarta.
re: Sandakan & SepilokAnne Oh dear that's disappointing. Hopefully Sandakan will be better. You are certainly packing it in - England in January is going to be a big let down or have you got other plans?! We are looking forward to the weekend as Emma, Tom and Joseph and Ben, Lucy and Joshua are coming (big bonfire in the village Saturday night). Also we will see Matt and Emma. Looking forward to a visit to the Spa on 17th December with Emma, Liz, Natalie, Pam, Zoe, Julie and Laura. Take care and keep the blogs coming. Really enjoying keeping track of your adventures. Lots of love to you both x
re: Kota KinabaluTom No we didnt manage to fit it in! Either way you are only allowed to wear trousers and shoes. I have shorts and flip flops so I would have been rejected anyway! Singapore was really clean and efficient, and the people were really friendly. It helps that its quite small so its easy to navigate around. The airport was really cool too. Me and Rikki got there at 12.30 and our flight wasnt until 17:45 but theres so much to do and see. I would suggest going to the zoo. Its not too big and you get to be within inches of the orang utans! Yes heard about Bradford. If they get to the final I will go to cheer them on! x
