Day 76 - Lucky Bay, Cape Le Grand
We woke up to a cloudy morning and we must of had a light rain shower overnight. It was also cold so we didn't rush to go anywhere.
We then went for a 7km return walk to the end of Lucky Bay beach. We walked to the lookout and then continued to Matthew Flinders plaques and continued around the beach scrambling over rocks and through caves and bushes hoping to get to the furthest beach but the rocks at the end were too hard to climb so we just sat on the rock ledge and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Bronte then spotted a seal swimming in the water so we enjoyed watching it and then Rog spotted a small shark.
We were then all hungry so thought we better start our walk back. We were just about to head to the bush track when Josh spotted a snake sunning itself on the rocks. It gave us all a fright and glad none of us stepped on it. We then decided we were too scared to walk through the bush so we clambered over the rocks instead and luckily it was easier than we expected. We saw a green crab and lots of lizards.
We had lunch and chilled in the caravan for a while to stay out of the wind and then the boys went fishing again. Rog was lucky this time and caught a massive squid.
So unfortunately we couldn't swim on our last day in Lucky Bay but it was a nice afternoon relaxing.
