Day 73 - Albany to Esperance (Cape Le Grand, Lucky Bay) 466km
We were on the road by 7am ready for a big driving day again.
The scenery of green fields of wheat and other grains and bright yellow canola is just so beautiful. We saw the usual animals including an emu today.
We stopped in Esperance to fill up the car and do a quick shop at woolies. We ended up having lunch in the caravan parking area as we were all starving and it was lunchtime!
We then continued driving to Cape Le Grand National Park where we are camping at Lucky Bay for 4 nights.
Wow, as soon as we turned into Lucky Bay we were greeted with the most beautiful bay of white sand and different shades of blue & turquoise clear water.
We drove around the campground and found a spare site and got set-up. All the sites have beautiful water glimpses.
We quickly changed into our swimmers and walked down to the beach. As we were walking down we were greeted by two very friendly kangaroos with joeys in their pouches. The kids were able to give them a pat. We then walked along the beach and were greeted with another small friendly kangaroo that hopped straight over to the kids for a pat.
The kids excitedly found a travelling family that we met at Oakabella Homestead so we spent the rest of the afternoon swimming (well the kids swam I only went in knee deep as the water is a bit cold for me!) and playing in the sand.
We can’t get over how beautiful it is here.
