Day 16. Left rainy Dumfries at 10am. The B&B was excellent and cheapest so far. It was as good as a 4* hotel. We have cycled 27 miles and we are in a place called Sanquhar on the A76. We have found a tea rooms with the best choice in cakes! The directions for today's journey are very simple. Get on the A76 at Dumfries. Travel north for 42 miles. At Cumnock turn left onto the A70 and continue for a further 27 miles. We seem to be cycling through cloud at the moment - it's that rain that gets you wet.
