Here we are in Ayr. Chris is standing with his back to the sea. In the distance is Arran, where we will be heading off to, tomorrow. Now in The Chestnuts Hotel about to have supper. Chris is having a haggis starter and Suzanne is having a haggis main course.

Day 17. Leaving The Dunn Thiing guest house for a trip over to Arran. Our intention is to ride to Ardrossan (about 25 miles north of Ayr) and then get the ferry over to Brodick, on Arran. It takes about an hour on the ferry. Then it is a mile ride to where we are staying. Not sure what to wear. Yesterday we had our full waterproof gear on to start with, which was great when it was raining (the majority of the day) but when it cleared up a bit it was like cycling ...
