Day 17. Leaving The Dunn Thiing guest house for a trip over to Arran. Our intention is to ride to Ardrossan (about 25 miles north of Ayr) and then get the ferry over to Brodick, on Arran. It takes about an hour on the ferry. Then it is a mile ride to where we are staying. Not sure what to wear. Yesterday we had our full waterproof gear on to start with, which was great when it was raining (the majority of the day) but when it cleared up a bit it was like cycling in a sauna. The Lycra came back out for the last 17 downhill miles which was fantastic - freedom to move!!! Should be a good gentle day today with lots to see.
