Stopped at a place called Tain, just off the A9. Got soaked for the first hour and the road was really busy. Took a detour, left, through Alness. This was a good idea. When we rejoined the A9 it was better weather and the road seemed quieter and there was a walk/cycle lane to use along the main road. Now we have taken another detour on the right of the A9. Found a bike shop for some well needed oil and found the Sunflowers Too Coffee Shop.
Everything in it is linked to sunflowers.

June Roberts Your expedition is almost over! My geography has got better since you started your trip - certainly my Scottish geog! I thought once you'd reached Gretna Green you were almost there! Well, not quite, but I now know better! The weather certainly hasn't been kind to you, but the main thing is it hasn't defeated you in any way, shape or form. Well done to both of you, look forward to hearing some of your tales!
