We were up early again and off to Reg's building site in East Grinstead to deliver some bricks and for a check on progress. That done it was back home via a cafe for breakfast and via the spray shop to pick up Reg's Audi TT.
When we got home we changed into walking gear and walked with the dog to East Dean. Of course one can't possibly go to East Dean without calling into the Tiger for lunch and a pint of Harveys bitter can one? So that's what we did a jolly good it was too.
The walk back after lunch and a pint always seems longer but we had no time to spare as we had to change again and get on the road to meet Phil and Nez to look at 2 properties they were interested in. On the way we stopped off For a cream tea as it was at least two hours since we had eaten!!! The first house we looked at was on too busy a road and would probably not increased enough in value to make it a sound investment. The second property in West Malling was a different proposition entirely. Although the house is very small it did have potential and best of all it was on a quiet lane completely surrounded by open space and occupied a very big block.
Back at Phil and Inez's we all looked over the plans of the second property and came up with some cheap initial alterations that would enable them to live there quite comfortably until they could afford some more significant extensions. The evening was wound up with a take away Chinese before the long drive home. Another late night!!
Note: Phil and Nez put an offer on the second property the next day and after a very small counter offer was accepted agreed to the deal was done.
