Today we woke up to strong winds and a lot of grey cloud. ( not much of a summer!)
We headed off to Peasemarsh in Kent to visit Maureen and George (Maureen is an old friend from our days before going to Australia). As you can imagine we had lots to talk about (well Maureen did Ha Ha) we drove into Rye and visited a couple of the old pubs (more Harveys) before letting the rain send us back to their home for a late lunch. George and Maureen showed us lots of photos of their 'Narrow Boat' and the beautiful scenery around the canals. It looks like it would be fun to join them next time we are I'm England!! Before heading back home we arranged to meet them on Sunday at their boat for a quick look.
