Another early start to the day (4.30am) must learn to sleep in, especially today as the rain is due back though after a few spots the skies cleared and by 8.00am there was hardly a cloud in the sky ( fingers crossed) Well today we have had everything. At 10am we all set off in beautiful sunshine for a bike ride to Lewis. Just before we got to Firle some Landrover driver caused Linda to fall off her bike so we stopped in Firle for a bit of first aid and an ice-cream and then passed the Ram and thought a beer (or two in my case) might be beneficial. After a short respite we were off again to Lewis, once there we secured a table at Bill's for a very tasty lunch. Whilst enjoying lunch we were treated to a light show and rolling thunder which was soon joined by a torrential downpour (so glad we decided on an inside table) the diners outside were not so lucky!! Once lunch was over Reg and I decided to make a dash home on two of the bikes to pick up a car and truck whilst the girls stayed for coffee and a bit of retail therapy (no point us all getting wet) I can thoroughly recommend Bills in Lewis and Brighton for a bit of casual dining.
