This morning we went to Horsham to see Deirdre an old friend of Linda's mother. On the way there we stopped off in Lewes to buy cakes for morning tea.
When we arrived Deidre was very pleased to see us as she is pretty much house bound these days. She had made strawberry and cream scones to go with the cakes we had bought. We spent a couple of very pleasant hours catching up before her 'meals on wheels' lunch arrived so we took our leave said our goodbyes and headed home. On the way we saw the
Barley Mow pub so decided to give it a go for our lunch. The food was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful making it a very pleasant lunch.
When we arrived back home Reg was hard at work on the tree felling again so I quickly changed and got stuck in.
After all the tree felling we were all pretty tired and ate at home and got an early night as we had an early start planned for the next morning.
