Well, this is it! My final blog from Tasmania. I won't be blogging tomorrow night as we will be relaxing on the Spirit heading back to the main land. It really was a lovely drive from Tarooma back into Hobart. We headed to Salamanca again and lo and behold we stopped off at the Faery Cave. Just in time for Saffron to make "faery biscuits" - or in other words extra icing on Tic-Toc biscuits with jelly beans and other sugary sweets..... Seriously, my teeth hurt...

Today being our final day in Hobart, we thought we would take it easy. We find ourselves in definate holiday mode as none of us got up before 0830hrs - including Saffron. The day is overcast and drizzly, so we are thankful we are staying close to base. Well today we went to Port Arthur. Our first stop on the way there was a quick bypass at a servo to empty the sick bag. This was the second only time Saffron had been sick on this trip, the first being Burnie. We couldn't even blame it on cheese. After this though she was right as rain and hungry, so we stopped at Dunally Bakery to get a pie and sauce. She must have been feeling better as not only did she eat two party pies, but squirted the sauce packets straigh...

Arriving at Bonorong Wildlife, I wasn't real sure what was wilder - the native animals or the feral kids running around and pushing other kids out of the way! Nope definitely the feral kids..... I cannot say that I have been disappointed with any of the facilities we have visited over the last 10 days we have been away. Being a Sunday, we decided to go for a casual drive in the country side. We travelled a whole 10 minutes before stopping at Richmond for morning tea. Richmond is a little town that is famous for having the oldest in use bridge (AD 1823). It was first explored in 1803 and is just 24 kms from Hobart. Our first port of call was the maze.
