We had breakfast and then took a ferry to the airport. Two of the other guests at the hostel had booked a ferry so we just got in the ferry with them. Last night's sleep was actually really good - better mattress and we moved the bed underneath the fan. It was such a good sleep that Calvin woke up early and did a workout on the rooftop for the first time in forever. We had to move rooms today. Down into the dungeons of JamboHouse. Apparently we had booked the type of room (which was standard double with private detached bathroom) on Hostelworld.com, rather than a specific room which you can choose on some other websites. This morning we went to Whispers Café, a more Western café, for morning tea / lunch – another smoothie each. A bit more expensive but very delicious. The owner said he is really struggling given the demise of tourism. We were the only customers there. We got a little lost today in the maze of Lamu while trying to find the marketplace. Streets, lanes and alleys are nameless and look the same.
