Soongies' Great Adventure
The sun came out this morning in preparation for our reunion with Sanne, one of the other volunteers from the Safisha school in Kenya. We drove about an hour to get to her place in Karrebaeksminde - a cute coastal town that is usually packed with tourists in summer! Sanne and her boyfriend, Nicklas, prepared a yummy lunch - Danish tartelleters, pasta salad, rye bread with cheese and cold meats and cinnamon buns. It was delicious and so nice to catch up! After saying our goodbyes we got back in the car for the 2 hour journey to Møns Klint (before we had even driven 5 metres we remembered we hadn't taken a photo with Sanne and Niklas so we had to knock on the door asking to take a photo with them)! The countryside on the drive to Møns Klint was really nice - lots of greenery and wide open spaces with little villages along the way. Møns Klint are a 6km stretch of chalk cliffs on the island of Møn. We had to go down a lot of steps (and then even worse...we had to climb back up) but it was worth the effort when we got to the bottom! It was a pretty nice sight. It looked like the perfect place to spot whales but unfortunately no such luck! After Møns Klint we drove the 2 hours back home, after stopping at Aldi to stock up on a few more supplies. Then it was delicious rice porridge for dinner at home tonight.

Ruth You needed Mathias to spot the whales!!!
soongies We were thinking that actually! We were saying, "If only Ruth and Mathias were here, they always see some sort of animal!"
Amanda Is kate doing all the driving ?
soongies It's about 50/50 I reckon. Kate does prefer the country driving and Calvin does more of the city driving.
