Another week passed by… On Tuesday, Janey went to Byron Bay for 3 days, so I had a whole house for myself. That was really nice, because I wasn't feeling too well and the waves were crap, so I just chilled on the couch and watched hypes of movies. Thursday I felt a little bit better, so I went to the yoga class, but I had to pay for that on Friday. So I just went to the pharmacy to get some pills to get rid of the cold I had. I knew that on Saturday, Kaz, Fernande and a whole bunch of people were going to go to the Blue Mountains and I really wanted to go there as well. Despite my cold, I went to Kaz his place on Friday evening to stay over, so that we could leave earlyin the morning. We had to run for the train (as always when I'm with these guys) and we ended up with 5 French and 5 Dutch people: al together in the train and then we had to transfer to a bus, because they were working on the tracks… Two hours later we arrived and first we went to the Three Sisters (check the picture) and from there we walked for about 4 hours!! That was quite exhausting.. When we were walking in the mountains we met some of the animals over there. First there was this 1.5 meters black snake that crossed the (small) road we were walking on. It kind of scared me! Next there was a this smaller version of a crocodile (don't know the name in English, but check my pictures!) crossing the road and climbing in a tree. Then there was a parrot and another bird (check pictures). So that was an experience! We had lots of fun in the Blue Mountains and when we were back in the village (Katoomba) I bought a guitar for 50 dollars!! A new one! He's not amazing, but at least I can make some music now, I really missed that. After the blue mountains we went to the Wentworth Falls to see the sunset. When we arrived a lady told us that we were actually not allowed to enter the park, because it was under construction, but it was a Saturday after 6 pm, so we sneaked in and had a really nice sunset. Later on we had some pizza at the local pizza place and then we took the train back to Sydney. I was just on time to get the last ferry back to Manly, where I had a cup of tea with Janey and we went to bed around 2 am. She told me that there were surfers in the water that evening, so I got up at 6.30 amto check the waves! And they were good enough to go in, so I had a really nice early morning surf!Later on I went to Palm Beach with Kaz, Fernande and hypes of other people. We hired 2 beginner surfboards for 2 hours and had some surf. It was like 27 degrees, so surfing in bikini! That evening I started to pack again, cause on Monday I had to move to a hostel, since Janey was moving out of her apartment.
Monday morning Janey was so nice to drop me and my bags, bike, etc at the hostel and then I went to the ferry to pick up Anne! She's just been in Sumatra for about 2 weeks and she came to visit me for a week. Next week she'll go to Philip Island where she's got friends that she met when she was travelling through Australia. For now she's in the (really nice) hostel with me and that's really cool. We had a surf today (Tuesday 22 October) and the waves are going to get better and better this week, so we're gonna have some fun :-)
