I've just found out that Manly normally has got good surf. I'm just unlucky, 'cause there haven't been really waves since Friday. Although it's looking a bit better and Gary, the guy from the surf shop, told me I can borrow any board anytime, so yesterday I had a nice surf session on a 7'3 fish JOn Tuesday I did my RSA course: Responsible Service of Alcohol. If you want to work in a café or a bar, you've got to have this piece of paper. It's amazing how the Australian law works: I've you're serving a intoxicated/ drunk person or a minor, you can get a fine of 11.000 dollars! An intoxicated person isn't even allowed in a premises, another 11.000 for the licensee (responsible of the premises), I mean, seriously… Isn't that also the responsibility of the person that has been drinking? Well, no fine for this person… unless he or she has been asked to leave and he or she stays within 50 meters of the premises (not allowed for 6 hours) or he or she comes back to the premises within 24 hours. Anyway… I've learned a lot ;-)It's really time to get a job now, but I'm a little bit under the weather. I did a 1,5 hrs mountain bike trip 2 days ago and I had to cycle back in the rain, so that might be the reason I'm not feeling too well. I could also be the fact that I haven't been surfing in a while. But that's going to change today! As I went into my room the other day and there he (or she, nobody knows) was… he spider..It was a really big one, like the ones you see in the zoo normally. It didn't move and I just couldn't believe that it was a real one, so I asked Janey if there was a fake spider on the wall of my room. Stupid question right?! Anyway, lucky us, there was a friend of Janey over, Marc, and he removed the spider: our hero. Janey said that it was the second time in a year that she saw a spider like that in the house…Today was the kick off of the Beachley Classic: a surf contest for women in Manly.It's Laney Beachley's(who has been world champion for 7 times now) competition. She and lots of other really good surfer girls like Sofia Mulanovich, Julia de la Rosa andStephanie Gilmore are surfing this weekend just here, in Manly. I went there today to watch some surf (today's heats were in Freshwater, beach next to Manly), and, although the waves weren't amazing, it was really nice to see the girls surfing. The competition will be going on all weekend.

My board's back J It's been repaired and I can not wait to surf! There might be really good surf on Monday, so looking forward to that. As for this weekend: Lucien, a good friend of mine, currently living in California just wrote me an email and told me that he's going to be in sydney tomorrow!! So we'll have a surf together :-) Kaz, Fernande and some of their roomies will come and visit me on saturday and they're going to surf again. That will be fun!!
