Hey guys
Last Saturday a group of us from Alexander all went to the State Fair. It's pretty much like the Royal Show in Perth but without the showbags and alot more fried food. And alot smaller! But it was still lots of fun. We went in the evening so it was cool to see all the lights and the atmosphere. Americans as we all know love their fried food and at the fair that was most evident! Ask for anything deep fried and you could probably find it! Cheesecake, pecan pie, bananas, oreos, pb & j sandwiches, anything and everything!! I heard that they deep fried Coke but I didnt figure out quite how!
But that said it was an enjoyable experience! Although it was a heart attack waiting to happen :P
As I have mentioned before I volunteer on a Monday night at the local Salvation Army centre as part of one of my classes. This week they had a Halloween Fetival for the kids. It was so cool to see the kids all dressed up and they had such a great time. Alex and I were on face painting and even though I am no artist, the kids liked it! But it was great to see the smiles on their faces and I am glad they got all the candy as they were leaving so the mothers could deal with the sugar high when they all got upstairs!
School is just the same, very busy and tiring but still enjoyable. Good luck to everyone in Perth who is about to do exams! We still have over a month to go...very long semesters here!
