Well I have to say that I had no idea what was to be found in Philadelphia..I only stopped there coz it was a city name that I recognised that was on the way back to Raleigh. Little did I know it was so important to American history!!
The first day I took a walk through Independence Hall. This is where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed and many other things. It wasnt actually a big building but it was cool to see.
I also saw the Liberty Bell, even though it means so much it is really small and the exhibit is nothing special. There are a series of monuments and statues situated all over downtown of Philly and I went and saw most of them. I also saw Ben Franklin's grave which was pretty cool!
The second day I took a walk up the Ben Franklin Parkway. It is a long road that has flags from each country on either side. I was happy to find Australia :P The museum of art is an amazing building! Fairmount Park is just behind here, normally I can see it would be amazing but in the middle of winter there really isnt anything there!
Well I am almost at the end of my break.... I cant believe that is has gone so fast! But I am looking forward to going back to Alexander and seeing everyone back there again!
