Off from Alamosa after Larry’s favorite breakfast so far! Next stop Cave of the Winds Mountain Park. Alamosa is located on the Rio Grande River, which apparently is formed near here. Who knew? After leaving, made our way out through the prairie again, and met up with our old friends from Wyoming, the pronghorn antelope! Off to another early morning as we are riding the 8:15 train from Durango to Silverton. Fortunately the train station is only a few minutes walk from here, but we needed to board at 7:45. Well we are off again for an early morning, as it is almost 5 hours to our next stop, Back Canyon of Gunnison National park. Headed east out of town on the Stegosaurus Expressway, eventually coming to Dinosaur, Colorado where we headed south.
