Day 67 Kanchanaburi – Bangkok
The journey back to Bangkok was a lot quicker, although the driver was a bit keen on accelerating and breaking every 5 secs. We booked into My House guesthouse again and then missioned it to MBK shopping centre (it was a lot further than we thought). The Tuk- Tuk on the way back tried to scam us, so we ended catching the bus back which was fun.
Day 68
We got on a bus to Chinatown, where we followed the lonely planets walking tour on Chinatown. It was baking hot, but fascinating to see, especially the way the Chinese have such a big influence on the area. The small market alley ways were great. The food either looked incredible or rather strange, a lot of the things we couldn’t even work out what they were. We ventured to the pier at the end of the day, and caught the river boat back to the area we are staying in. This was good fun, and you had to basically leap on and off the boat over a massive gap as it goes past. We spent the evening at our guesthouse and watched two more films (yes we like films). Emma went to bed early and I stayed up and watched Brave heart.
