Day 38/39/40
Penang- Krabi
Early pick up at 8:15, for minibus to Krabi. Rog met a guy called Tony from India on minibus and spoke to him as he had a Chelsea shirt on. Crossing the Malay/ Thai border made difficult for us by the driver, as he was trying to make extra money out of us by selling us arrival and departure immigration cards, which are clearly free. He was gutted we saw his scam.
Arrived in Krabi, staying at Sai Thai Garden Home. Really nice place, set in lovely grounds, and the family who own it are really nice. There two little boys are really sweet. Free bus (pick-up truck) into Ao Nang, which is were the beach and restaurants are etc. Really busy and lots of shops.
Next day we had lots to eat for breakfast as it was free!! Love a freebie!! Spent the whole day on the beach, not that amazing but got used to it pretty quick though, the sea was lovely and warm. Really nice day and picked up at 5pm and back to our room. Met a really nice couple- Lisa and Luke, at the bar in our place, got the pick-up in with them and had dinner at a street food place, I only had a baguette (very Thai) but not feeling to well, and Rog had a random curry. Then went for a drink at an Irish bar quite nice and cheap.
Breakfast again; Rog ate as much as he good. We then moved guest houses to Ao Nang with Lisa and Luke, staying in Jurad Guesthouse, really nice rooms and a share bathroom. Spent the day on the beach again, really really hot. Got back to the balcony at our guesthouse, and all four of us got very drunk, really good night. Eventually went to find some food at about half ten, although most places seemed shut. Rog and Luke left it up to Lisa and I to find somewhere to eat, however proceeded to moan we were choosing too expensive places! Found a nice bar eventually and had the hottest green curry of my life, but amazing!
Day 41
Massive hang over, I was sent on the mission of food, although the boy who made us the baguettes took half hour to make four of them, due to the fact he cut each individual lettuce leaf in the air weirdly. Went for a long walk along Ao Nang high street, got some street food. Sorted out our trip to KO lanta, by a really nice gay guy, called Emma!!! Rog not feeling to well in the evening, think he ate to much so early night! Muay Tai constantly being shouted up the streets for tickets, Rog now is constantly saying it. Luke and Rog think the lady boy at our guesthouse looks like Ronaldhino!!
