I met up with Cathal yesterday afternoon. I met him in New Zealand, so it was great to see him and catch up on what each other have been doing for the past couple of weeks. Cathal's from Ireland, so we went on a mission to find a pub in the city were the Gaelic football was playing last night. We ended up in Scruffy Murphy's - famous backpackers Irish pub on George Street in the city. Cheap drink and food, and always packed out in the evenings with backpackers. We bumped into Doug and had a beer with him, celebrating my new job!
I walked back to the house at 5pm, and started the dinner for Lisa; Lamb Curry. She didnt get in from work until about 6:30pm, so I finished off my washing and did some cleaning! She arrived with her boyfriend Jon and his friend Brent. We has some beers and a curry and they all headed out into town. I was invited and Lisa offered to lend me some money but I didnt want to spend money that I dont really have, so I stayed in with a few beers (on my own!) and watched a couple of films. Was in bed by about 1am.
I woke up at 10am this morning to Lisa cooking pancakes with maple syrup! Amazing way to start a saturday morning. The sun is shining today, absolutely gorgeous weather, so I thought Im make the most of it and get my lilly white legs out!
Lisa is having her hair done today, coloured and cut, which would usually cost her $400 because she is having it done with an artist that she works with at work, but its not costing her a penny! Lucky cow! Its definately about the people you know! So, we are meeting back at the house at 3pm, I have the keys so I have to go back and let her in. We've been invited to a Halloween party tonight, fancy dress of course. Im not going, but I said I would help her with her costume - we've got a few options...
Oh by the way - my start date with Wicked Travel is Monday 3rd November, but I will be going up to Byron Bay on the saturday before to settle in and enjoy it before the training begins. Yippee! Lisa and Jon are even thinking about coming up for a weekend because they havent been before, so hopefully they will.
Ive accepted Lisa and her Mum's offer of spending Christmas day with them at Lisa's mums house in Cronulla (a suburb 40 minutes out of the city), so I feel better now I know Im going to be in a house with friends and not sitting on my own!
Thanks for all of my messages - Im excited now!
