Javelin Round Britain 2011
Last night went to fantastic sea food restaurant in Oban. Today, we sailed up to Dunstaffnage Marina only 4.5 miles north of Oban. Richard and Sue arrived after long drive and Trevor set off in Richard's car. Another windless day with us in T-shirts and shorts. End of another successful week, covered 418 miles and on track. Strong winds forecast tomorrow. We will be making our way up Loch Lynne to Fort William and entering Caledonian canal at Corpach. Today has been a maintenance and cleaning day, Neil went up the mast to attach new shot cord for the port running backstay, Alison has been sealing and whipping ropes, Peter engine maintenance and all cleaning Javelin. Tonight we are barbecuing onboard.

Alex. Sounds blissful Peter and more like the trip Sue had in mind!
Trevor Bateman Well I'm home safe and sound and reflecting on how lucky I am to be able to share the experience of sailing in some spectacular places. Oh, and we were a bit lucky with the weather weren't we? I'm just going through all of the photos that I took and will post them on line when I have thinned them out a bit.
