Left Portpatrick at 8:30 heading for Port Ellen on Islay. A 60 mile run which has strong tides. We should get 6 hours of favorable tides to speed us along. Pigeons were roosting in the harbour wall and perched on our mooring lines. It is a glassy sea this morning with less than 1 knot of wind, what a difference s week makes!

We are in Scotland. The weather has changed completely. It was sunny all day today with very light winds. Most of the day was motoring with a couple of hours sailing. Want to the harbour office this morning in Douglas and was told they might not open the bridge until this evening. We loitered around the bridge and they opened it for us after the rush hour.
