This morning we went to Torndirrup National Park and the part I was most wanting to see was closed. The road into The Gap & Natural Bridge was closed due to a big infrastructure upgrade. We are driving onto Albany today and stopping to sight see at Denmark along the way. First, we went to Elephant Cove and I really loved this spot. Then we went around the corner to Greens Pool which is once again beautiful and was surprisingly busy (compared to having most beaches to our selves most of the time lately). We went exploring the local area today starting with the Hill Top Rd lookout giving nice views over the region. Then we did an 800m loop walk to see the Giant Tingle Tree. This giant red tingle tree is over 300 years old and has a girth of 24m. It was really impressive. This morning with the sun shining is a good morning to check out the views over the coast. We went to Tookulup lookout with the intention of doing the cliff top walk but it was closed due to bushfire damage. 1km up the road was Point D'Entrecasteaux where there were a couple of viewing platfornms open but other walking tracks closed. We have enjoyed the campground at Conto's but it is time to move on once again. We went to Beedelup Falls which was a short loop walk and included a bridge over the falls and a suspension bridge over the river. We then did a 2.6km return walk through the national park to the "walk-through tree". It is 75m tall and 2.4m wide. It was interesting and the boys had fun jumping in and out of it.
