Pretty San Francisco. Gorgeous houses everywhere and very steep streets.
For two nights we stayed in an RV Park that was over twice the price of what we normally paid and was really just a glorified car park over the road from Monster Park, home of the 49ers. So the third night we stayed in a hotel right in San Francisco which was only marginally more expensive and very convenient.
Took a ride over Golden Gate Bridge in an open bus which was very windy and cold, but worth it. In hindsight a ponytail would have been a good idea as it took me about an hour to get all the knots out of my hair, Jim didn't have any problems in that area. Walked down the crookedest street and thanked our lucky stars that we didn't have to drive Oki down it, that would have been interesting!
Unfortunately we didn't get to Alcatraz as it was booked out days in advance, but the view of it from the shore is pretty good. There were more seals, which we love and there was a dead whale stuck under one of the piers which was a bit sad.
We had fun exploring this city and on our last night had a fantastic Thai meal just down the road from our hotel.
