We had a date with a football game at 12.30.It was the Europeon Championship final between Chelsea and Manchester United.Jim had high hopes for a Chelsea win while we sat in comfy armchairs in the St James Olde Irish Pub in Banff.Alas it went down to penalties and Chelsea lost.We decided to continue the day in the spirit it was started and needless to say were a little jolly by the time we called it a day and went back to our hotel.
Heard through the grapevine ie Facebook that Jim's Aunty Mary from Dublin and Cousin Catherine from Toronto were about to arrive in town so we decided to stay in the hotel for another couple of nights.Went to dinner at the The Grizzly Bear and had buffalo and caribou, with the option of alligator and rattlesnake among other things.Woke up to more rain and went and picked up Mary and Catherine and took them around to see the lakes we had checked out the day before.Lake Louise and Moraine both still had a lot of ice on them but Emerald Lake was all clear.
Havn't seen a Grizzly yet and I'm quite glad because I've read what you need to do and firstly you need to establish if they are being defensive or aggressive and then you have to do completely different things depending on your assessment all the while trying to remember the set of instructions on what do if you come across a cougar.
