Day 10; Have made it to Burgos on our 10th day walking WOW, we have 500km too go. Had the biggest day so far, had a big climb out of Villiafranco and then walked across the top of the hills, some nice trees great for shade. Decided we could make it to Burgos, Simon chatted to Gael and took her mind off her feet which are very tender.
We spilt up taking slightly different roots met up eventually and had to walk another 3 km's in the open very hot hot hot !!!!!!! Decided to catch the bus into Burgos. So happy to be here, treating our selfs, staying in a hostel own room and on suite. Have decided people in Burgos very nice, a man off the bus helped us find our hostel, the manager of the hostel very helpful and managed to post our sleeping bags back because the lady at the post office was so very pleasant and made it so easy. So now are a kg lighter happy about that.
Went out and had yummy meal we deserved it after our big day, first tappers which Marta and We-Li choose and then moved to another restaurant and had milk feed lamb, so so tender.
Will have a extra day here so we can have a sleep in, also rest up and recoup, especially for our feet.
My new boots are fantastic no blisters so far, mind you we rest every hour take our boots off, and elevate the feet plus use fixamol for prevention, thanks too all Sarah's advise over the years.
Disappointed that we may have missed Carlos we think he didn't make it to Burgos.
