After 24 hours of flying it was great to reach Irun in the Northern part of Spain. Taxi driver from airport to accommodation very helpful in pointing out Albergue and direction of Camino. Brought a few supples for next day. Sorted out pack and crawled into bed.
Up at six this morning, called in To Albergue to get a stamp and started the Camino de Norte. Lots of challenges and choices today, did the mountain climb with the help of Sophie from Germany very misty like walking up in the clouds. Had a few trail runners and their dogs on the trail too. No bars along the way note to self to buy supplies for next day. Lots of options to take and very popular with walkers and hikers. Reached San Sebastián just as the rain started, managed to find hostel with the help of Andra and the locals, nothing flash but Chris very helpful. Just had a look around the old town lots of tourists in town. Tappers for dinner and a early night, will need ear pugs and eye mask tonight.
