Days 29; 30, and 31. 87 km's from Santiago too Finisterre.
Here begins another Camino.
Had a lovely three day walk out to the most westerly point of Europe or as the pilgrims called it the end of the earth.
Shared the walk with Marta, Douglas, Stuart and Jean-Jacque, very pleasant walking, staying at Negreira where we cooked a superb chicken stirfry for dinner and shared it around, then Olveiroa and finally Finisterre. We were very excited to see the alantic ocean after not seeing the sea for a month.
We had a couple of nights here doing all the end of Camino rituals ie walking out to the head land, reflecting on the journey, leaving some walking equipment on the cross and Douglas having his shell tattoo, very cool.
Found it hard to stop walking, but as days go on becoming a tourist is very enjoyable.
Completion of Pilgrims Prayer:
Although I may have seen all the monuments and contemplated the best sunsets, although I may have learned a greeting in every language or toasted the clean water from every fountain, if I have not discovered who is the author of so much free beauty and so much peace I have arrived nowhere.
If from today I do not continue walking on your path searching and living according to what I have learned, if from today I do not see in every person, friend or foe a companion on the Camino. If from today I can recognize God, the God of Jesus of Nazareth as the one God of my life I have arrived nowhere.
