Time to move on. We met up with the Roberts' at Mossman and travelled together towards Bloomfield. We crossed the Daintree River on the Ferry and then continued on the windy road to Cape Tribulation. A quick stop at the lookout on the way and then another quick stop at the Cape Tribulation beach for a photo. Today we hopped out of bed early and got ourselves ready to head to the skyrail. The skyrail goes from Smithfield to Kuranda. the skyrail is 7.5 km long and the highest tower is over 40m high! The views were amazing. We could see the rainforest, the ocean and the farmland. Day 4 - Cairns It was so nice to wake up this morning to a beautiful nice warm sunny day. We decided we needed a little break toady after the long drive. After a slow morning, with a quick dip in the pool for the kids, we headed for a short walk to Lake Placid, only about 200m down the road. We could see the Scenic Railway up in the hills behind. Day 3 - On the road....AGAIN! We woke up in the frost this morning - it was freezing and packing up the tent was not a happy adventure! On the road by 8:00 this morning with a quick brekkie stop at the bakery in Clermont. We drove all day with a stop at Charters Towers for lunch, an ice-cream at the "Frozen Mango", then FINALLY we managed to get to Cairns, pulling up in the dark and setting up just in time for bed. But, at least it is warm! We said "Goodbye"...

We left St Geroge by 8:30 this morning and spent the day travelling again. Morning tea stop in Roma and a quick lunch stop in Rolleston, then pulled into the caravan park at Clermont just on dark to set up next to the Roberts' for the 2nd stop. Kids had a great run around and played hide and seek around the camp fire while we cooked tea.
