Day 21 - Weipa Another lazy day. We said goodbye to the Roberts' as they started to head south. After a few swims and some cards we headed down to the wharf for some fishing. We caught lots of little fish, but nothing to keep.

Day 20 - Weipa Rest day. Swimming, reading, cards, a beer or two, more swimming etc. As it was our last night travelling with the Roberts' we decided to celebrate and went out for tea at the Bowls Club - it was delicious.

Day 19 - Weipa Toadys adventures involved a bit of a look around the town. We headed into the Cultural Centre and read the info boards about the traditional aboriginal peoples of the area and the changes in their life when the missionaries came. There was also some information about the mining of Bauxite in the area which is turned into aluminium. Day 18 - Weipa We packed up this morning and began to travel back south, over the same dusty, bumpy roads that got us to the top. We drove for most of the day and got to Weipa in the afternoon. A quick trip to the supermarket after setting up and a dip in the pool before watching the sunset over the ocean.

Day 17 - Loyalty Beach Sleep in day toady and then after a slow start we decided to go looking for the "tree house" which is not on any maps, but we had been told about it a week or so ago by a lady who lives up here. We headed back towards the tip and then after a few wrong turns down some dicey tracks, we found the right dicey track and made our way throught the thick forest for around 15 minutes until we found the "tree house".
