Day 14 - The Tip
We made it! Toady we travelled the short car ride and short walk over the rocks to the tip of Australia. We stood at the sign and played paparazzi and had heaps of photos. The water here is a beautiful blue and we could see over to some of the nearby islands. It was a great sense of achievement to make it to the tip.
On the way back we went to see the "5 beaches" at Somerset. Another great 4WD track! The McKay's got bogged in the sand again and the Robbo's had to pull us out! The rest of the track was not much better but the views were amazing.
The afternoon was spent with the kids in the pool and Kade digging in the beach and then we celebrated making it to the tip with Pizza's in the restaurant for tea.
Nick went fishing after tea and we found out the next day he was possibly being watched by a croc that was seen at about the same spot not long after he left the beach! He did see a snake on the beach, so we are all surprised he made it back to the tent at all.

Bebsie The tree house/lookout is amazing. Some people are always going to 'dice with death' hey Nicko. Is anyone keeping count - it seems like it's 2 rescues to Roberts' and 0 to the McKay's at present.
