Today was Arches National Park. Nothing surprising about what we saw at this park, arches. They were massive though and it was fun to hike to them. The temp was about 90 when we were hiking but it wasn't bad even though we were in the sun because there was alway a nice breeze.
Couple of things I really noticed was the stark contrast between the red rock and the dark blue sky, Made both of them pop in the pictures. The park also had a lot of really large rocks that would be sitting on a small rock way up in the air. Seemed that was only something God could do and not topple them over. Larry and I both agreed it was like driving through an art gallery for rock carvings. We kept seeing all kinds of images formed in the rocks like Garfield, old men, and faces.
We have also been surprised at the number of rental campers you see out here. Ever since we got to Yellowstone, which seems like forever ago, we have seen bunches and bunches of rental trailers. Don't know if that would save on a vacation or not but they have to drive their trailers into the parks. With some of the super curvy roads I don't think I would like to do that.
Another thing we have been surprised about were the number of Asians we have seen. They seem to really like coming to America and taking lots of pictures. Many of them are on big yellow tour buses with some type of asian writing on the side.
Lots and lots of languages being spoken, sometimes we are the only English speaking in a large group of people.
Next stop, Dead Horse State Park.
