Today we traveled from Bryce to Hanksville on scenic route 12. It is considered one of the most scenic roads in the US. It was very pretty but we started at about 8000 feet above sea level then went down to about 6000, then back up to a little over 10,000 and back down to 4000. You can imagine the hills and curves to go up and down mountains that large. At one point we were on a piece of raod that had huge drop offs on both sides at the same time. It was just the 2 lanes across the top point of the mountain. Some of the time I just stick my nose in the Bible and tell Larry to let me know when the road is straight again. That way I am not yelling slow down and I figure if I die while reading the Bible surly that will earn me a few points with God.
