Left Buddina around 9:30am and headed off to Hervey Bay. The drive was beautiful, getting more tropical as we head north and Marty and l are in love with the Queensland style house on stilts.
Stopped in Maryborough for lunch, had our famous sandwiches in the park. Arrived at Hervey Bay around 1:30pm and got to our caravan park that we'd organised prior. It looked horrible, so we rang around and ended up booking into Shelley Beach Caravan Park in Torquay, a small suburb of Harvey Bay. The owner is lovely and best of all it's cheap at $29 per night!! Nothing flash, an unheated pool and slightly small caravan sites but the people we've met so far are lovely and it's opposite the beach. It took a few hours to set up as everything was disororganised from our trip out to Moreton island. The end result is the blog picture. We finally had everything done by 3:30pm and headed down the street for a look round. The girls were fantastic while we were setting up, playing together and picking flowers. Very cute together at times!!
We are so happy to be back in the caravan, have missed it surprisingly. We are looking forward to some relaxation and fishing here in Hervey Bay, and hopefully seeing some humpback whales too!!
