We set off from Freycinet NP and were off to Port Arthur. It wasn't a long trip, just three and a bit hours. On the way l made a few enquires about camping spots in national parks, after some thinking Marty and l decided stuff it, we need a caravan park. We had a great two and a half hour drive from St Helens to Freycinet National Park. Luckily l phoned ahead as it gets booked out quickly and you have to book ahead apparently. We arrived at the visitors information center and booked into Richardson's beach camp site for $15.50 per night. The camp site was beach side but bloody hell the ground was hard and we bent a few pegs pegging the tent down!! We have toilets (flushing which is bonus) and cold showers (argh!)...

We arrived at Dora Point which is in Humbug Point Nature Park. Even though it was cold with drizzling rain on and off we were very excited to be finally on the East coast! Our drive from Devonport to Dora Point was beautiful! We had windy roads thru national parks and the drive from St Mary's to St Helen's was breath taking, amazing views from the road looking far down to the forests.
