Day 61. Salt Lake City, Utah. We planned a long day of motorcycling today but after an hour in 4 degree weather and rain it almost came to a premature end. A Burger King saved us and enabled us to rekindle some feeling in our hands. After that we caught a gap in the clouds and pushed on. Scenery was stunning and it was a really good opportunity to see the Canyonlands National Park from a different perspective. Day 44. Moab, Utah. Another 06:00 start today, for our trip to Arches National Park - home to over 2000 natural sandstone arches. The early start was partly to miss the crowds and partly to avoid the heat. We got to the entrance at 07:30, to find that quite a few other people had had the same idea. The zip on one boot has broken but unfortunately all the shops in the area specialise in off road equipment! So we're still trying to think of a solution.
