Day 8. Niagara Falls, New York.A day of giant waterfalls, plastic ponchos, and regulation sandals (Niagara Falls, Maid of the Mist, and Cave of the Winds). Then headed back to the Canalside waterfront area in Buffalo, which was a hive of activity - with country and western music and line dancing on the USS Little Rock, mass participation yoga and aerobics, and all sorts of water activities. Day 7. Buffalo, New York.A nice relaxing day off the bikes today. We did get out and about though. A 5 mile walk through some of the nice parks here and then back accounted for the morning. The original idea was to go and cash some travellers cheques but we have now discovered that nobody actually uses them anymore! Just finished our first home cooked meal in a while at our airbnb and looking forwards to visiting the waterfalls at Niagara tomorrow.

Day 6. Buffalo, New York.Long day in the saddle today, motorcycling up through Pennsylvania, into New York State, and ending in Buffalo. Lots of rolling farmland, towns with Germanic names, and dense forest. Good motorcycling roads with lots of sweeping bends. Managed to stick to the back roads most of the way.
