Christmas Eve!!
We both slept really well, it was nice being back in a normal bed for once! When we finally dragged ourselves out of bed we had breakfast and headed out to explore!! It was lovely and sunny so we went to the Botanical gardens and had a lovely walk around! It was very picturesque and it was lovely walking along the harbour! We walked around to the Opera house and had took the compulsory pictures! We went inside and its not as posh as you would expect, but I'm sure it is once you get further inside and in the halls! We are considering doing a tour of the building one day!
From the Opera house we walked around the harbour and circular quay. It was lovely around there with lots of cafés and places to sit. We walked around to the rocks which is a historic part of Sydney with lots of character buildings. We enquired about NYE in the tourist information and it looks like its going to be an all day thing!
We got some lunch and sat overlooking the harbour, soaking up the sun! There was a lovely atmosphere, very chilled and positive!
From there we walked through town. The shopping parts were still quite busy so we battled through and walked back to the hostel through Hyde park. The hostel had arranged a night out so we decided to go along as its xmas!
We got ready and our room mates were coming too and we went to an Irish bar first before moving onto an Indie bar! We got chatting to others from the hostel and we ended up having a really good, jolly drunken night!
