Two on the trot about work but I am excited about what I saw this morning.
Two days ago we went out to meet the cluster chair of the Aug Brosat Cluster in Chbar Mon. We looked at his School Development Plan - very good with everything in the right place. We then discussed the other schools in the cluster - all have SDP (hopefully as good). He then asked for support on how to develop them even further. I am so glad I didn't just plough in with - how to write a school development plan.
At that meeting he invited us to the Technical Thursday meeting which is held once a month in every cluster of schools. Of course we said yes - actually if he hadn't invited we were going to invite ourselves!!
Now everyone from MoYES (department of ed) down to VSO have said - the real problems are:
1. School Development Plans - and the school directors who write them
2. Lesson Plans - and the teachers who do or don't know how to write them
Well, on the evidence of this morning, that is not true. The SD and teachers know how to write plans. In fact the lesson plans they came up with this morning would please Ofsted.
So yet again I have to change direction- actually only a little as I had already suspected that SD and teachers would be fed up with training about planning - and look at implementation of the plans. I have decided to do this one-to-one so that each school director can talk about his or her plan.
Watch this space.

Jan Glad it is going well. You missed a lovely walk along the river today though.
