Hello! Wow I can't believe that in less than a week I will be back home - it's definitely a mix of feelings. On one hand I can't wait to be back and see everyone I've missed so much (and eat things I've missed, have AC, etc) but on the other hand I have grown to love Florence and Italy so much. I definitely feel at home here, and I keep thinking about how "homesick" I'll be for Italy when I leave.
For the most part, today was just a combination of trying to do/see everything I can while freaking out about everything I need to do. We went to Bargello NAtional Museum for class this morning. It was pretty neat: I got to see Donatello's David and Michelangelo's Bacchus, along with lots of other great works I've studied. After class, my roommate Courtney and I went to the art supply store to buy markers and such for our last paper/project - (our paper is an analysis of the Medici chapel and tombs, but then we get to design our own version, so that will be a fun way to end it). After buying supplies I went to San Lorenzo market, outside my apaprtment, to do some last minute gift-shopping. I think except for a few things, I'm pretty much set on all that.
Our last class is on thursday, so hopefully I can finish this paper, print out my travel blog to turn in, and begin packing / cleaning apartment within the next 36 or so hours. I'm trying not to get stressed out, especially since the reason I'm feeling "rushed" to pack and get everything ready for leaving on monday, is that on thursday after class I'll be heading to Capri/Sorrento for the weekend.. I know, tough life. So, with that, I'm going to go stress about my paper and packing, and I'll talk to yall soon!
Love yall!
