Ciao everyone! Today we had orientation at 10am, which seemed late to me, but the jet lag had me in a pretty deep slumber, so I decided to just go au naturel hair, which I think I will probably do everyday now. After school orientation we had "safety orientation" where the chief of police came and basically scared us, but I learned a lot, like to push the gypsies away and that I need to keep my shutters closed when I leave the windows open at night since burglars can apparently "climb the walls like Spiderman". After that we had free time to explore and shop and eat. I'm still trying to just get the hang of everything and the area before I do anything. We had dinner at an amazing restaurant, and Santa Reparata Intl. School of Art picked up the tab (although - as much as I paid for the program, I think it probably came out of my tuition haha). It was an amazing 5 course meal, and afterwards we wandered around a little more, by the river. I got to know more of the other people on the trip - and so far I like pretty much everyone. There's about 20 of us. A lot of the group went out, but I was feeling a little full from the rich food, and we're planning on taking a day trip to Cinque Terre tomorrow morning so I wanted to be rested and prepared - I volunteered to look up the train schedule, etc. So anyways, I suppose I'll get to that, before it gets too much later
I still havent adjusted to the time - it's 12 am here, and its so weird to me that everyone at home is just now getting off work! Happy Friday y'all!
