time abroad I will be keeping a travel journal as a class requirement, so I thought it would be fun if I made it online so that I could share it with everyone that I wish were with me!

2010: Ciao friends and family! During my
time abroad I will be keeping a travel journal as a class requirement, so I thought it would be fun if I made it online so that I could share it with everyone that I wish were with me!
I will be abroad from May 19 - June 21, living in Florence, Italy and studying Art History (2 courses- Art & Patronage in Florence, and Special Topics in Renaissance Art: Venice and Rome). There will be weekend trips to Venice and Rome, and a weekend trip to Paris to visit a friend. Unfortunately I cannot go to Greece as I had earlier hoped, but I may squeeze in a trip to Barcelona. If not, there's always next year ;)
Anyway, I've never done this kind of journal thing before, I always heard "keep a journal and one day it will keep you", but I think that a different set of rules applies to traveling journals. Hopefully I can figure out how to use this thing, and keep it up-to-date!

our tour guide describing/showing how Venice was built - to my understanding, basically logs from trees were pushed down into the marsh, rocks were placed on top, and the city was built on top of all that - crazy!
